How LithiumVault™ Works
The lithium-ion battery cell is enveloped in multiple layers of Kevlar before being placed into the battery casing. The number of Kevlar layers is tailored to the battery's size and capacity.
The Kevlar® armoured inner shell, while being lightweight, boasts strength five times greater than steel. This makes it an ideal barrier against lithium fires and the intense explosions caused by lithium-ion thermal runaway. Its strength, lightweight nature, heat resistance, and low thermal conductivity make it the preferred material for bulletproof vests and fire protection gear.
With special pressure valves venting only the smoke, it prevents possible dangerous pressure build-up also.
Effective Fire Containment
